WHO WE ARE
The "José Martí" High School, founded by visionaries with the ideal of the liberator, is an institution that forms young people in freedom and for freedom, with a spirit of service and community commitment, to favor the collective process that provides autonomy and self-sufficiency to the indigenous communities of our region. It is located in the municipality of San Francisco Ixhuatán, in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. The school is located eight hours south of the capital of Oaxaca, Mexico.

We are an institution that favors community initiatives which support the continuity of our process and identity as a people and culture. Our school form young people that have a high spirit of commitment to their people and develop the tools they need to face community problems.
