We are a community-based, self-managed school. Along with our youth, we defend our roots, identity, territory and way of life.
We are in San Francisco Ixhuatán, Oaxaca, in the land of the indigenous Ikoots and Binnizá peoples of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, in South Mexico.
Our daily work includes combating toxic open-pit mining proyects, wind farms, and green capitalism that destroy our lands.
The complex reality we are living in is the pedagogical setting for our youth, who are learning how to remain the peoples we have been.
